Want better skin? Let’s talk about vitamin A

Regardless of our genders, we all desire good healthy skin and one thing that really really helps us achieve that beautiful skin is through Vitamin A.

Whether it is cell repair, growth and development, better vision, better immune function, and better reproduction, strong heart lungs and kidneys your body thrives with Vitamin A. 

In all honesty, it is a serious condition and we need to ensure that we and our family get adequate amounts of vitamin A. I’ve shared my post today on what could count as adequate amount of vitamin A intake for your body and what might an excess of vitamin A do to your system (which could only happen when you consume supplemental pills)

 

Where could you possibly get more vitamin A, naturally? Here’s a list that might interest you. Ensure you grab these often as part of your diet, daily. 

– A man needs 900 micrograms (mcg) and a woman needs about 700 mcg daily. Mind you, I said micrograms and not even milligrams so this is a tiny tiny amount. So if you’ve had grass-fed beef for instance during the day or carrots, you perhaps have already consumed your daily intake of retinoid or carotenoid, which are vitamin A sources. 

  • fish, meats
  • butter, milk, and cheese
  • eggs
  • pumpkin, carrots, squash and other orange-coloured vegetables
  • sweet potatoes
  • orange-coloured fruits, such as cantaloupes, papayas, and mangos
  • greens like broccoli, spinach, turnip greens, and other dark, leafy green vegetables, zucchini
  • coloured bell peppers (they are loaded with multivitamins)

 

When you mix these up in your food you’re quite getting the daily required intake for vitamin A. Make sure you’re having these items in one form or another either as salads, or main meals or make your own creations. Check out the recipes I have with so much coloured awesomeness
