Savory quinoa; the best of both worlds!

This savory bowl is my yummiest go-to food. It satiates hunger, is macro and micro nutrients rich and for those of you with glycemic sensitivities, pour your love out for this one. Its just like the cup-a-noodles flavor with better richer nutrition and not even half as much calories, I mean who wouldn’t love the sound of that?

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of soaked quinoa
  • 1 cup of finely chopped vegetables (of your choice. I’ve used cauliflower, broccoli, french beans, mushrooms, carrots, peas, capsicum, onion, tomato)
  • Little garlic & ginger
  • 1 Bay leaf for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups of water
  • Salt to taste.

Simply put all the ingredients in the pressure cooker for about 3-4 whistles. Then it’s done!!!

Try it with mint chutney or a curry, it tastes amazing!
